Can a robot vacuum really mop?
It keeps a hard floor fresh every day. A robot mops with little water and little pressure, so a dried-in stain or a sticky spill does not always come off in one go. Spinning pads and a roller mop do better at that than a flat pad, because they press harder or rinse themselves clean. It does not replace a thorough clean with a bucket and mop.

Do I need a station that washes the mop?
Without one, you rinse the mop yourself after every run, or it starts to smell. A station that washes the mop, ideally with hot water, and then dries it with warm air takes that job over. It nearly always comes in an all-in-one station, which empties the dust bin as well.
