What to expect from the Roborock Q10 X5

The Roborock Q10 X5 is the plainer sister of the Q10 S5: the same 10,000 Pa of suction, a JawScrapers comb main brush against tangles, lidar navigation and obstacle recognition with structured light, with a large 500-milliliter bin and a large mop pad with what Roborock calls an AutoLifting system instead of the S5's vibrating VibraRise 2.0 pad. It climbs thresholds of up to 0.8 inches and comes on a dock that only charges.

On paper the difference with the Q10 S5 is the mop: a vibrating pad scrubs, a plain pad mainly wipes. For vacuuming the two look alike, so a buyer who mostly wants carpets and hard floors vacuumed and mops only now and then gives up little with the X5.

None of our test sources has measured it, so how well it vacuums, mops and avoids obstacles is still unknown. Our specifications list no run time, battery or mop lift height. Anyone who would rather buy on test results can look at the Q10 S5, whose robot Vacuum Wars and Tom's Guide tested as the Q10 S5+.
