The maker
Daikin
- Headquarters: Japan
- Founded in 1924
Daikin, the Japanese air conditioning company founded in 1924 and based in Osaka, also makes air purifiers for the home. On its Dutch site it offers the MC30Y, MC55W, MC80Z, MCK70Y and MCK70Z, and the range includes purifiers with a humidifier. The purifiers filter in three stages, a pre filter for dust and pet hair, an electrostatic HEPA filter for small particles and a filter that reduces odours, and they use Daikin's Streamer technology. Daikin says the filter lasts ten years. The MC80Z and MCK70Z connect over WLAN and are run from the Onecta app, the same app that controls Daikin heat pumps. The MC55W carries the allergy seal of the British Allergy Foundation.
