How to read the model names

iRobot calls all its robot vacuums Roomba. Since 2025 the new models are called Roomba, Roomba Plus and Roomba Max, followed by a number, and Combo means the robot mops as well. Which station comes with it follows the name: a + or AutoEmpty is a station that empties the bin, AutoWash one that also washes and dries the mop. In the older i, j and s series the + stands for the Clean Base, the station that empties the bin. Compare versions on the specifications and today's price.

iRobot filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on December 14, 2025, in a pre-agreed process in which Picea, its main contract manufacturer and lender, took over the company. Since January 2026 iRobot has been a private company owned by Picea. When it filed, iRobot said its app, customer programs and product support would carry on as usual.
