Does an air purifier help with allergies?
It can lower the pollen, dust and pet dander in the air of a room, when its filter is HEPA of class H11 or better and it is sized for the room. It does not replace cleaning, and it does not remove allergens that have settled on surfaces.
Which filter should an air purifier have for asthma?
One of class H13 or better, or True HEPA. We also leave out models with an ioniser that cannot be switched off, since it makes ozone as a by-product. Ask your doctor about your own case.
How big a purifier do I need?
