What to expect from the Rowenta X-Plorer Serie 580 Max RR9547
The Rowenta X-Plorer Serie 580 Max is Rowenta's vacuum-and-mop robot with an all-in-one station: 10,000 Pa of suction, an anti-tangle brush that according to Rowenta gives 25 times fewer tangles, two spinning mop pads of which one extends to within a millimetre of walls, carpet detection that raises suction and lifts the pads 10.5 millimetres, lidar navigation that detects and avoids low obstacles, and a station that empties the bin for ninety days, washes the pads and dries them with hot air. The quoted run time is 120 minutes at 65 decibels.
For a European brand with local service the equipment is decent: washing, drying and emptying in one station, with an extending mop arm that gave the tested Dreame models cleaner edges. Buyers at Coolblue praise the navigation around toys and the mopping in corners.
The limits: 10,000 Pa is low next to the Asian mid-range, 10.5 millimetres of lift is, according to one buyer, enough for a doormat but too little for a thick rug, the station washes without hot water and doses no detergent, the side brush does not extend, the run time is short and the station is large. None of our test sources has measured this model. Anyone wanting a European brand should compare with the Bosch Spotless 2; anyone buying on price, with the MOVA E40 Ultra.
