What to expect from the Dreame D20 Air Plus
The Dreame D20 Air Plus is the cheapest Dreame with a self-emptying station: 20,000 Pa of suction, a double anti-tangle brush, lidar navigation, a fixed mop cloth for light mopping and a station that empties the bin into a four-liter bag, good for 120 days according to Dreame. The 3,200 mAh battery is rated for 150 minutes and at 3.7 inches the robot is slightly lower than most.
At its low price this gets you the main convenience of a pricier robot: months without emptying the bin yourself, plus suction on paper above many mid-range models of a few years ago. The light equipment keeps the price down.
The limits: no obstacle recognition, only lidar and bumper, so socks and cables must come off the floor; the mop cloth does not lift on carpet and is not washed; the side brush does not extend; and the battery is smaller than in the D20 Pro Plus. None of our test sources has measured this model. For a small home with hard floors and little clutter it is a cheap way to get a self-emptying station; anyone serious about mopping should look higher.
