You may read, use and quote what Best at Best publishes. Copying our prices, price history, scores or specifications in bulk for another database, site or service needs our written consent.
In short
- Reading the site, comparing prices and following a link to a store is free and needs no account.
- Quote a price, a score or a sentence wherever you like, with a link to the page you quote.
- Search engines and the AI assistants our robots.txt names may read every page and cite it.
- The monthly market reports and the sale event reports are free to reuse under CC BY 4.0.
- Copying prices, price history, scores, rankings, specifications or texts systematically or repeatedly, for another database, site or service, needs our written consent.
Who we are
Best at Best (bestatbest.com) is a trade name of Acraf Solutions, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 97472050, Salland 1, 1948 RE Beverwijk, the Netherlands. These terms apply to every page of bestatbest.com and to our data addresses (api.bestatbest.com). By using the site you accept them.
What you may do
You may read the site, use it to choose and buy a product, and link to any of its pages. You may quote single prices, scores, facts and short passages, in a review, an article, a forum post or an answer, as long as you name Best at Best and link to the page you quote.
What needs our written consent
Without our written consent you may not, by any means (a scraper, a bot, our data addresses or by hand):
- extract or re-use prices, price history, scores, rankings, specifications or texts systematically or repeatedly, even a small part at a time
- put them into another database, site, app, feed or service, or sell them or pass them on
- use them to train or fill an AI model or a dataset, except as the next section allows
- read the site in a way that slows it down, or get round a block or a limit we set

Search engines and AI assistants
Search engines that index the web for public search, and the AI assistants and crawlers our robots.txt names, may read and index every page robots.txt opens to them, and show and cite it in their results and answers. That holds for the training crawlers robots.txt names too, such as Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended and CCBot. What robots.txt allows each of them is part of these terms: when we change robots.txt, the permission changes with it.
Text and data mining
We reserve the use of this site’s content for text and data mining under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790, article 15o of the Dutch Copyright Act (Auteurswet) and section 44b of the German Copyright Act (Urheberrechtsgesetz). The reservation does not apply to the search engines and crawlers in the previous section, within what robots.txt allows them. Text and data mining for scientific research under Article 3 of that Directive stays allowed by law.
Our database
The prices we read every day at every store we follow, the price history since we began, the scores and the sourced specifications are a database that took a substantial investment to obtain, check and present. We claim the database right in it under the Dutch Databases Act (Databankenwet) and Directive 96/9/EC. That right forbids extracting or re-using a substantial part, and also the repeated and systematic extraction of small parts. These terms apply as a contract as well, also to any part of the site the database right might not cover.
Reports you may reuse
The monthly market reports and the sale event reports are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license (CC BY 4.0): you may copy, share and adapt them, commercially too, as long as you credit Best at Best and link to the report. That license covers the reports alone, not the rest of the site.
Prices and links
A price on this site is what a store showed when we last checked it, mostly once a day. Stores change prices, stock and shipping costs at any time, so the price at the store’s checkout is the one that counts. You buy from the store, not from us. A link to a store can earn us a commission (see the privacy page), which does not change the price you pay.
We take care over our figures but cannot promise they are always right and complete. We are not liable for a loss that comes from an error, except where the law does not allow such a limit, such as for intent or gross negligence.
Law and courts
Dutch law governs these terms, and a dispute goes to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, this choice takes away none of the protection the law of your own country gives you, and you may also go to the court where you live.
The Dutch text binds for the Dutch edition (bestatbest.com/nl), the German text for the German edition (bestatbest.com/de) and the English text for the US edition (bestatbest.com/us). Every other language is a translation for your convenience.
