What to expect from the iRobot Roomba Plus 507 Combo

The iRobot Roomba Plus 507 Combo is the Plus 505 Combo with a simpler dock. The robot is the same: two spinning DualClean mop pads that PerfectEdge extends towards edges, SmartScrub for stubborn spots, a rubber brush with an edge-sweeping brush, lidar navigation and camera-based obstacle recognition. Its AutoWash dock empties the bin into a bag for up to 75 days, washes the pads during and after a clean, dries them and then rinses itself.

The two differ in the drying. iRobot's page for the Plus 505 says its dock heat-dries the pads, and the page for the Plus 507 only that it dries them, everywhere it names the drying. The box differs too, with an extra filter where the Plus 505 comes with a spare set of pads. iRobot gives no suction figure in pascals, only 70 times that of its old 600 series.

None of our test sources has measured it. Tom's Guide has tested the Plus 505 Combo, the same robot with heated drying, so that model's page is the closest guide to how this one cleans. Anyone who mops daily can weigh the Plus 505's heated drying against the difference in price.
