What to expect from the MOVA P70 Pro Ultra
For anyone mostly mopping hard floors who wants a complete app, this is the logical P-series choice; for lots of carpet, better wait for a test.
The MOVA P70 Pro Ultra succeeds the P50 Pro Ultra: 30,000 Pa of suction, two spinning mop pads with 12 newtons of downward pressure at 260 rpm, of which one extends along edges, an extending side brush, pads that stay behind in the station automatically, camera-based obstacle recognition that knows more than 280 kinds of objects and a station that washes in 212 °F water, dries the pads with hot air within an hour and doses detergent.
Vacuum Wars and RTINGS tested the P50 Pro Ultra and praised the mopping above all, a big step forward with a score well above the class average, the pads that can stay in the station and one of the most polished apps. The P70 Pro Ultra builds on that with more downward pressure and a higher rated suction.
The criticism of the P50 Pro Ultra concerned vacuuming: below the class average on the bench and weak on carpet. Whether the new motor fixes that, none of our test sources has measured. Beyond that, a fixed lidar turret at just over 3.9 inches, thresholds up to 0.9 inches, no water-line connection and 72 decibels at full power.
Based on the maker's specifications and our price data. None of our test sources has tested this model.

The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the store we read it from.
The side brush swings out in a corner or along a baseboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.

Carpet detection
When it matters
Rugs and carpets, where the robot should raise its suction.
Mopping in a home with rugs, which have to stay dry.
The robot notices when it drives onto a carpet. Most then raise their suction, and a mopping robot lifts its mop or leaves it at the dock.

Suitable for pet hair
When it matters
Dogs and cats that shed.
Long-haired pets, whose hair wraps around a brush.
When it matters less
Without pets, ordinary hair and dust need nothing special.

Whether the robot copes with pet hair: a brush that hair does not wind around and a dock that empties the bin for you. Where the maker does not say so itself, we read it from those two.

Mop type
When it matters
Homes with a lot of hard floor that you want mopped, not just wiped.
Dried-on dirt in a kitchen, which spinning pads or a roller scrub off better than a dragged cloth.
When it matters less
If you only vacuum, the mop’s build decides nothing.
The robot returns to the dock during a run to rinse the mop, instead of pushing dirty water around. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Steam
When it matters
Dried-on spills and grease in a kitchen.
Wanting a deeper clean than water and a cloth give.
When it matters less
On a floor with only light dust it adds little, and it does not suit untreated wood.
The robot or its dock works with steam. It loosens dried-on dirt and grease, or washes the mop hotter than water alone. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

Empties the dust bin
When it matters
Pets, sand or a large home, which fill the bin every run.
Dust allergy, since you rarely touch the dust yourself.
When it matters less
In a small home with little dust, emptying the bin by hand takes a moment.
The dock collects dust in a bin instead of a disposable bag. No bags to buy, but you empty it yourself. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.

Privacy, if you would rather not have a camera driving through your home.

When it matters less
If the floor is tidied before each run, a camera adds little.

When it matters
A puppy or a pet that has accidents indoors.
Running the robot while nobody is home to check the floor first.
When it matters less
Without pets, or with pets that go outside, it matters little.
The maker says the robot recognizes a pet accident and drives around it, so it does not smear it across the floor. This is the maker’s claim, not a test of ours.

Robotic arm
When it matters
Socks, toys and small things left on the floor.
Not wanting to tidy up before every run.
When it matters less
In a home that is tidied before each run it adds little.
