Amazon.com What to expect from the Shark Stratos 2-in-1
The Shark Stratos 2-in-1 is a vacuum-and-mop robot on Shark's NeverTouch base, which empties the robot into a 60-day bagless bin, refills its water tank for up to 30 days and washes and dries the mop pad after every clean, with HEPA filtration. The robot maps the home with a 360-degree lidar, scrubs hard floors with a Sonic Mopping pad that Shark says moves up to 100 times a minute, blows debris out of edges with air (Edge Detect) and, with what Shark calls AutoLift, glides over obstacles and high thresholds while keeping the mop off rugs.
On paper it has the whole NeverTouch routine of emptying, refilling, washing and drying. Its page does not mention a mop pad that extends to the edges or a heated wash, both of which the PowerDetect ThermaCharged has. Shark claims twice the suction of the iRobot Roomba i5 Combo, but gives no figure in pascals.
None of our test sources has measured it, so how well it vacuums, mops and avoids obstacles is still unknown. Our specifications list no run time, bin size or suction figure. Anyone who would rather buy on test results can look at the Shark PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro, whose NeverTouch Pro base Tom's Guide, TechRadar and RTINGS have tested.
