About Best at Best
An independent guide to expensive purchases, one category at a time.
Best at Best was started in 2026 by Martin Kilarski, as an independent initiative in the Netherlands. It began with a purchase everyone knows: first evenings of comparing which model is best, then evenings of searching where it is cheapest, only to find that the chosen model was badly priced that week. That second search belongs inside the first. That is what this site is for.
What we build
Per category a quality ranking of our own, prices checked every day at shops that deliver to Germany, and advice that can also be "wait". We start with robot vacuums and only move to the next category when this one is done. The German edition shows the models sold by shops that deliver to Germany, with prices in euros including VAT and delivery. Best at Best also has editions for the Netherlands and the United States.
Independence
We sell nothing and take no money for a place in the ranking or for a score, from anyone. Income comes from shops' partner programmes: a commission on a purchase made through a partner link. How that works and why it does not influence the ranking is explained on the method page.
Who pays us
Today we earn only from links to Amazon.de: 1 of the 1 shop we follow. Buy through such a partner link and we receive a commission from the shop or from its affiliate network. The other shops pay us nothing, and the ranking, the lowest price and the advice come from the same data for every shop.
