Smartmi Technology was founded in 2014 as a supply partner in the Xiaomi ecosystem, and its first product was the Xiaomi air purifier. The company now sells under its own brands, smartmi and Jya. Its maker of record, Beijing Smartmi Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., gives an address in Beijing. Its air purifiers use an H13 HEPA filter, which the company says catches 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 μm.
