What to expect from the Dreame L60 Ultra

The Dreame L60 Ultra is the top model of the L-series: 35,000 Pa of suction, a retractable lidar that keeps the robot under nine centimetres, camera-based obstacle recognition, a spinning mop pad and a side brush that extend along edges, and a station that empties the bin into a 3.2-litre bag for about a hundred days, washes the pads in 100-degree water, dries with hot air and doses detergent. A water-line connection is sold as a separate kit.

On paper this is the L50 line with more suction and a lower build. The split HyperStream anti-tangle brush and the extending arms are familiar from the L50 Pro Ultra, which a Vacuum Wars editor ran for three months almost without attention in a busy family with a dog. Dreame quotes four centimetres for obstacles with its EasyLeap system; our specifications list 2.2 centimetres for an ordinary threshold.

What else the table shows: the pads are not left behind in the station automatically, so on carpet they lift rather than leave, and at 72 decibels at full power it is not a quiet robot. None of our test sources has measured the L60 Ultra itself. Anyone who wants to see scores before spending this much should compare it with the tested L50 Pro Ultra, or with the X50 Ultra Complete, which adds climbing legs for a similar price.

Based on the maker's specifications and our price data; none of our test sources has tested this model.

Dreame L60 Ultra specifications

The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.

Robot height8.9 cm
Climbs thresholds up to22 mm
Mop lift on carpet10.5 mm
Runtime per charge180 min
Suction power35,000 Pa

Consumables: a 3.2 l dust bag in the station, which lasts up to 100 days.

Dimensionsrobot and dock

Robot, from the side 35.1 cm across 8.9 cm

From the published dimensions. The robot passes under furniture with 9 cm of clearance or more.

Suction and brushes 6 facts
Suction power

Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor.

35,000 Pa
Anti-tangle brush

A brush that guides hair to the side instead of letting it wind around the shaft. It saves the cutting work in homes with long hair or pets.

yes
Extending side brush

The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too.

yes
Carpet detection

The robot notices when it drives onto a carpet. Most then raise their suction, and a mopping robot lifts its mop or leaves it at the dock.

detects carpet
Suitable for pet hair

Whether the robot copes with pet hair: a brush that hair does not wind around and a dock that empties the bin for you. Where the maker does not say so itself, we read it from those two.

yes
Dirt detection

A sensor notices where more dirt lies, at the doormat for example, and the robot cleans that patch longer or a second time.

yes
Mopping 6 facts
Mop type

How the mop is built: flat pads, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.

spinning pads
Mop lift on carpet

How far the robot lifts the mop when it drives onto a carpet. From about 10 mm a medium pile stays dry.

10.5 mm
Mop extends to the edges

The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well.

yes
Automatic mop detach

The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Mop refreshed while mopping

The robot returns to the dock during a run to rinse the mop, instead of pushing dirty water around.

no
Water tank in the robot

How much clean water the robot carries. It sets how long it mops before a refill, which a dock does by itself.

80 ml
Dock 13 facts
Empties the dust bin

The dock empties the robot’s dust bin, usually after every run. You only empty the dock’s bag or bin.

yes
Bagless

The dock collects dust in a bin instead of a disposable bag. No bags to buy, but you empty it yourself. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Dust bag capacity

How much the dust bag in the dock holds.

3.2 l
Dust bag lasts

How long the maker says a dust bag lasts with daily use. With pets or a lot of carpet it is shorter.

up to 100 days
Washes the mop

The dock washes the mop for you, so you do not rinse it by hand.

yes
Wash temperature

How hot the dock washes the mop. Above 60 °C grease comes off, which is what keeps a mop from smelling.

100 °C
Dries the mop

The dock dries the mop afterwards, so it does not sit there wet and start to smell.

yes
Hot-air drying

Drying is done with warm air instead of cold. It is faster and it helps against smell.

yes
Dispenses detergent

The dock mixes detergent into the water itself, from its own bottle.

yes
Plumbing hookup

The dock can be connected to the tap and the drain, so you never fill or empty a tank. It does need a connection nearby.

yes
Clean water tank

The clean water tank in the dock, which wets the mop.

4.5 l
Dirty water tank

The tank that catches the dirty water from the mop. You empty this one yourself.

4 l
Dock height

The height of the dock. Mind a shelf or a window sill above it.

58.9 cm
Navigation and obstacles 5 facts
Navigation

How the robot maps your home and follows that map. Lidar measures with a laser and works in the dark, a camera looks along and recognises more.

retractable LiDAR
Obstacle avoidance

How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.

AI camera
Climbs thresholds up to

The highest threshold the robot takes, as the maker states it. Measure your own: the step into a bathroom or onto a balcony is often higher.

22 mm
Climbing system for high thresholds

An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Camera on board

Whether the robot has a camera, and what for: to recognise obstacles, or also to show you a live picture of your home in the app.

obstacle camera
Robot 5 facts
Robot height

How tall the robot is. It decides whether it fits under your sofa, bed or cabinet.

8.9 cm
Robot diameter

How wide the robot is. Narrower gets between chair legs more easily, wider usually means a bigger dust bin.

35.1 cm
Robot weight

What the robot weighs. It counts most if you carry it up a staircase every day.

4.01 kg
Dust bin in the robot

How much dust the robot holds before you empty it. It matters less with an auto-empty dock, which empties the bin after every run.

365 ml
Noise

The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation. On this model: maximum noise level according to Coolblue.

72 dB
Battery 2 facts
Battery capacity

The capacity of the battery. It hints at the runtime, but how much the robot draws counts just as much.

5,200 mAh
Runtime per charge

How long the robot cleans on one charge, at its quietest setting. After that it recharges and carries on where it stopped.

180 min
Smart features and warranty 3 facts
Matter

Matter is the standard that lets devices from different makers work together. With it you can run the robot outside the maker’s own app. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Voice assistants

Which voice assistants the robot works with, such as Google Assistant or Alexa. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.

Frequently asked questions about the Dreame L60 Ultra

Does the Dreame L60 Ultra empty its own dust bin?

Yes. The station empties the robot’s dust bin after every run. The 3.2 l dust bag in the station lasts up to 100 days, the maker says.

Does the Dreame L60 Ultra wash and dry its own mop?

Yes. The station washes the mop itself, with water at 100 °C. It then dries the mop with warm air.

Does the Dreame L60 Ultra work with Alexa, Google Home or Siri?

It works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri. It does not support Matter.

How high a threshold can the Dreame L60 Ultra climb?

Thresholds up to 22 mm, the maker says. It has no climbing system for higher thresholds. Measure your own thresholds: the ones to a bathroom or balcony are often higher.

Does the Dreame L60 Ultra fit under low furniture?

The robot is 8.9 cm tall, so it fits under furniture with at least 9 cm of clearance. Its lidar turret retracts where space is tight.

Is the Dreame L60 Ultra suitable for pet hair?

Yes, the maker says. The brush guides hair to the side instead of winding it round the roller.
