Reading a shop in another language
Prices, delivery times and ordering stay the same when a shop is in another language: only the words change. This is how to read it anyway.
The shop's own language menu
Many shops offer their site in several languages. Look at the top of the site for a language or flag icon, usually next to the search box, and on a phone in the menu.
Your browser translates the page
If the shop has no language you read, your browser translates the page on the spot. This is where to find it:
- Chrome: on a computer, the translate icon at the right end of the address bar, or right-click the page and choose to translate it. On a phone, the menu behind the three dots.
- Safari: a translate option in the address bar, on an iPhone or iPad in its page menu, once Safari recognises another language.
- Firefox: a translate icon appears in the address bar. Firefox translates on your own device, without sending the page anywhere.
- Microsoft Edge: the translate icon in the address bar, or right-click the page.
- Samsung Internet: the menu at the bottom right.
