Buying from Amazon in another EU country
Many models on this site are also sold by Amazon in Germany, France or Spain, and we link those stores. We show no Amazon price for now: the price is on Amazon itself. Ordering there works as it does at Amazon.nl. This is what differs: delivery, returns, the guarantee and the language of the site.
| Shop | Readable in | Standard delivery to the Netherlands | Returns, for a robot vacuum | Legal guarantee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon.de | English or Dutch | 3 to 5 working days, € 6,99 per shipment | 14 days | 2 years |
| Amazon.fr | English | 3 to 5 days, € 5,50 per shipment plus € 0,60 per kilo | 30 days | 2 years |
| Amazon.es | English | 2 to 3 working days, € 5,50 per shipment plus € 0,60 per kilo | 30 days | 3 years |
Your account
You need no new account: Amazon uses the same sign-in on its sites in other countries. With your Dutch address as the default address in your account, the product page says whether Amazon will send the item to you, as Amazon.de's page on shipping abroad explains.
Delivery
What Amazon itself sends costs what the table says: per shipment, and at some of these shops a rate per kilo on top. A large or heavy item can cost more, which its product page then says. Another seller on Amazon charges its own delivery, and not every seller ships abroad. We show no Amazon price for now, and the checkout gives the real amount.
Returns
Within 14 days of receiving it you can send anything back without giving a reason: that is your legal right of withdrawal, at every Amazon in the EU. Most of these shops give 30 days, but not every one for a robot vacuum: the table says it per shop, and the product page beside the buy button. You return an item from your orders, and only what the product page calls a free return goes back free. Otherwise the cost of the return label comes off your refund, except for an item that arrived faulty, damaged, wrong or late.
Guarantee
On what Amazon itself sells you have a legal guarantee of at least two years across the EU, and three in Spain. If the robot fails in that time through a fault it already had on delivery, you are entitled to a repair or a replacement, and if neither works out, to your money back or a lower price. Bought from another seller on Amazon, that seller is the one to contact. The maker's own warranty may not apply to an item sent abroad, and its manual may be in another language, as Amazon.de's page on shipping abroad says too.
The site in your own language
Where the table says English or Dutch, switch the site over in Amazon's own language menu: at the top of the site, next to the search box, and on a phone in the menu. For a shop in a language you do not read, your browser translates the page on the spot.
