Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor.

What testers say about the Ecovacs Deebot T80 Omni
The Ecovacs Deebot T80 Omni is the first T-series model with the OZMO roller mop from the pricier X-series: a roller that is wetted with clean water while mopping, wrings the dirty water out and extends along edges. The Omni station empties the bin into a three-litre bag, washes the roller with hot water, dries with hot air and cleans itself with eight spray nozzles. The robot navigates with an embedded lidar and recognises obstacles with a camera and 3D structured light. Vacuum Wars bought one, tested it for weeks and made it runner-up in its mid-2025 awards.
Mopping was exceptional: 139.5 points on dried stains against an average of 93, with just 0.3 grams of water left behind where the average robot leaves over a gram, for a combined mop score of 287 against 171 on average and just under the flagship X9 Pro Omni. Flattened pet hair was picked up at 99 percent, nothing was wrapped around the V-shaped brush after the long-hair test, and on the standard course it dodged 11 of 12 obstacles. One charge covers more than a hundred square metres and the app offers multiple maps, a 3D floor plan, live video and a built-in voice assistant.
The criticism: during the test the robot froze three times for no discernible reason, under a coffee table and against table legs, with an error message; the testers put it down to a firmware glitch and placed no-go zones around the table. On the tougher obstacle course it avoided 7 of 12 items, the crevice test left more debris behind than desired, the station doses no detergent, the side brush does not extend and at nearly ten centimetres it does not fit under the lowest furniture. Anyone mainly after an excellent mopping robot for less than the flagship is well served here.

Ecovacs Deebot T80 Omni specifications
The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.
The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

Carpet detection
When it matters
Rugs and carpets, where the robot should raise its suction.
Mopping in a home with rugs, which have to stay dry.
The robot notices when it drives onto a carpet. Most then raise their suction, and a mopping robot lifts its mop or leaves it at the dock.

Suitable for pet hair
When it matters
Dogs and cats that shed.
Long-haired pets, whose hair wraps around a brush.
When it matters less
Without pets, ordinary hair and dust need nothing special.

Whether the robot copes with pet hair: a brush that hair does not wind around and a dock that empties the bin for you. Where the maker does not say so itself, we read it from those two.

Mopping6 facts
Mop type
When it matters
Homes with a lot of hard floor that you want mopped, not just wiped.
Dried-on dirt in a kitchen, which spinning pads or a roller scrub off better than a dragged cloth.
When it matters less
If you only vacuum, the mop’s build decides nothing.
How the mop is built: flat pads, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Mop refreshed while mopping
When it matters
Large hard floors, where a mop that is never rinsed spreads dirt around.
Kitchens with sticky spills.
When it matters less
In a small home the mop does not get dirty enough in one run for it to matter.
The robot returns to the dock during a run to rinse the mop, instead of pushing dirty water around. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
yes
Water tank in the robot
When it matters
Large hard floors mopped in one go.
A robot whose dock does not refill it during a run.
When it matters less
With a dock that refills the robot during the run, the tank’s size hardly matters.
The dock collects dust in a bin instead of a disposable bag. No bags to buy, but you empty it yourself. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

Camera on board
When it matters
Privacy, if you would rather not have a camera driving through your home.

The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.
Matter is the standard that lets devices from different makers work together. With it you can run the robot outside the maker’s own app. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
