What to expect from the Ecovacs Deebot T90 Max Pro Omni

The Ecovacs Deebot T90 Max Pro Omni is the strongest T90: 40,000 Pa of suction, the OZMO Roller 3.0, a 27-centimetre roller mop that presses with 3,800 Pa, turns at 200 rpm, is washed with clean water while mopping, extends 1.5 centimetres along edges and lifts 15 millimetres on carpet, ZeroTangle 4.0 against tangles, lidar navigation and obstacle recognition with 3D structured light. The Omni station washes the roller in 100-degree water, dries at 45 degrees, empties the bin and doses detergent. The quoted run time is 257 minutes at 59 decibels.

The T90 Pro Omni it builds on is one of the best-tested robots of the year at Vacuum Wars: the highest airflow in its class, a rare hundred percent on pet hair, nothing around the brush after the long-hair test, the second-highest mopping score the site has ever measured and 23 of 24 obstacles avoided. On paper the Max Pro adds more suction and a 100-degree wash.

The criticism of the T90 Pro Omni presumably applies here too: a small 250-millilitre onboard bin, the odd strange route and a two-centimetre threshold height that is ordinary rather than exceptional. Obstacle recognition works with structured light instead of a camera. None of our test sources has measured the Max Pro itself; anyone who finds the tested T90 Pro Omni cheaper misses little.

Ecovacs Deebot T90 Max Pro Omni specifications

The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.

Robot height9.5 cm

Runtime per charge257 min
Suction power40,000 Pa

Consumables: a 2.5 l dust bag in the station.

Dimensionsrobot and dock

Dock, from the front 47 cm high 28.1 cm deep 47 cm 33.8 cm wide Robot, from the side 35.3 cm across 9.5 cm

From the published dimensions. The robot passes under furniture with 10 cm of clearance or more. The dock needs a spot 34 cm wide and 28 cm deep.

Suction and brushes 3 facts
Suction power

Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor.

40,000 Pa
Anti-tangle brush

A brush that guides hair to the side instead of letting it wind around the shaft. It saves the cutting work in homes with long hair or pets.

yes
Extending side brush

The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Mopping 6 facts
Mop type

How the mop is built: flat pads, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.

roller mop
Mop lift on carpet

How far the robot lifts the mop when it drives onto a carpet. From about 10 mm a medium pile stays dry.

15 mm
Mop extends to the edges

The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well.

yes
Automatic mop detach

The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Mop refreshed while mopping

The robot returns to the dock during a run to rinse the mop, instead of pushing dirty water around. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.

yes
Water tank in the robot

How much clean water the robot carries. It sets how long it mops before a refill, which a dock does by itself.

110 ml
Dock 12 facts
Empties the dust bin

The dock empties the robot’s dust bin, usually after every run. You only empty the dock’s bag or bin. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.

yes
Bagless

The dock collects dust in a bin instead of a disposable bag. No bags to buy, but you empty it yourself. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Dust bag capacity

How much the dust bag in the dock holds.

2.5 l
Washes the mop

The dock washes the mop for you, so you do not rinse it by hand.

yes
Wash temperature

How hot the dock washes the mop. Above 60 °C grease comes off, which is what keeps a mop from smelling.

100 °C
Dries the mop

The dock dries the mop afterwards, so it does not sit there wet and start to smell.

yes
Hot-air drying

Drying is done with warm air instead of cold. It is faster and it helps against smell.

yes
Dispenses detergent

The dock mixes detergent into the water itself, from its own bottle. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.

yes
Plumbing hookup

The dock can be connected to the tap and the drain, so you never fill or empty a tank. It does need a connection nearby. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Clean water tank

The clean water tank in the dock, which wets the mop.

4 l
Dirty water tank

The tank that catches the dirty water from the mop. You empty this one yourself.

2.2 l
Dock size (w × d × h)

The width, depth and height of the dock. Measure the spot you have in mind, and leave room for the lid and for the robot driving in.

33.8 × 28.1 × 47 cm
Navigation and obstacles 4 facts
Navigation

How the robot maps your home and follows that map. Lidar measures with a laser and works in the dark, a camera looks along and recognises more.

LiDAR turret
Obstacle avoidance

How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.

3D sensor (structured light)
Climbs thresholds up to

The highest threshold the robot takes, as the maker states it. Measure your own: the step into a bathroom or onto a balcony is often higher.

20 mm
Climbing system for high thresholds

An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Robot 5 facts
Robot height

How tall the robot is. It decides whether it fits under your sofa, bed or cabinet.

9.5 cm
Robot diameter

How wide the robot is. Narrower gets between chair legs more easily, wider usually means a bigger dust bin.

35.3 cm
Robot weight

What the robot weighs. It counts most if you carry it up a staircase every day.

5.3 kg
Dust bin in the robot

How much dust the robot holds before you empty it. It matters less with an auto-empty dock, which empties the bin after every run.

250 ml
Noise

The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.

58.9 dB
Battery 2 facts
Battery capacity

The capacity of the battery. It hints at the runtime, but how much the robot draws counts just as much.

5,200 mAh
Runtime per charge

How long the robot cleans on one charge, at its quietest setting. After that it recharges and carries on where it stopped.

257 min
Smart features and warranty 2 facts
Matter

Matter is the standard that lets devices from different makers work together. With it you can run the robot outside the maker’s own app. On this model: the maker names this feature nowhere on the product page, so we take it as no.

no
Warranty

The warranty the maker gives in the Netherlands. Consumer law here stands apart from it and can last longer.

2 years
