How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.
When it matters
Cables, socks and toys left on the floor.
Pets, whose accidents a robot should steer around.
When it matters less
In a home that is tidied before each run it matters less.
The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.

What to expect from the EZIclean I-Bot Z5
For anyone with a small home with hard floors who wants a station without bags, it is a simple entry model to set beside tested ones.
The EZIclean I-Bot Z5 is a simple robot vacuum with a mop pad and a bagless auto-empty station. At 80 millimetres tall it gets under a lot of furniture, it has a HEPA filter and cliff sensors for stairs, and it takes commands through Alexa and Google Assistant.
It navigates with a gyroscope rather than lidar and its run time is short at 75 minutes; recharging takes 5 hours. It climbs thresholds of up to 15 millimetres, the app schedules runs and EZIclean states 65 dB.
Our specifications list no suction figure, no anti-tangle brush and no obstacle recognition. None of our test sources has tested the I-Bot Z5.
