Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor.

On hard floors the gain from a higher figure is small: the dust lies on top.

What to expect from the ILIFE V20
For anyone who wants a map-navigating robot that gets under low furniture, it is an interesting choice on paper.
The ILIFE V20 is a robot vacuum without a station that navigates with a solid-state lidar without a spinning turret, which makes it, at 83 millimetres, lower than most robots with lidar. It pulls 5,000 Pa of suction and more on carpet, has a 300 ml dust bin and, by our specifications, mops with a pad fed from a 250 ml water tank.
It is rated for 140 minutes and carries on where it stopped after recharging. It climbs thresholds of up to 20 millimetres, is 330 millimetres across, weighs 3.2 kilograms and takes commands through Alexa and Google Assistant.
Our specifications list no anti-tangle brush and no obstacle recognition, and you empty the bin yourself. None of our test sources has tested the V20.
Based on the maker's specifications and our price data; none of our test sources has tested this model.

When it matters
Deep-pile carpet and rugs, where dust sinks in.
Pet hair, sand and crumbs trodden into fibres.
When it matters less
On hard floors the gain from a higher figure is small: the dust lies on top.
A brush that guides hair to the side instead of letting it wind around the shaft. It saves the cutting work in homes with long hair or pets. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Extending side brush
When it matters
Corners and edges along kickboards, where a round robot leaves a strip of dust.
The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Carpet detection
When it matters
Rugs and carpets, where the robot should raise its suction.
Mopping in a home with rugs, which have to stay dry.
How the mop is built: flat pads, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works. On this model: seen on the product photo, not stated in the maker's text.
flat or vibrating pad
Mop extends to the edges
When it matters
Kitchens and hallways where dirt gathers along the kickboard.
Homes with many corners and table legs.
When it matters less
In open rooms the strip it leaves along the wall is small.
The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Mop refreshed while mopping
When it matters
Large hard floors, where a mop that is never rinsed spreads dirt around.
Kitchens with sticky spills.
When it matters less
In a small home the mop does not get dirty enough in one run for it to matter.
The robot returns to the dock during a run to rinse the mop, instead of pushing dirty water around. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Water tank in the robot
When it matters
Large hard floors mopped in one go.
A robot whose dock does not refill it during a run.
When it matters less
With a dock that refills the robot during the run, the tank’s size hardly matters.
How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.
An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Recharge and resume
When it matters
Large homes the robot cannot finish on one charge.
Carpets, which drain the battery faster.
When it matters less
In a small home the robot finishes before it needs to charge.
Matter is the standard that lets devices from different makers work together. With it you can run the robot outside the maker’s own app. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Voice assistants
When it matters
Starting the robot by voice while your hands are full.
A home already run with Alexa, Google or Siri.
When it matters less
If you start it from the app or a schedule, you will not miss it.
