What to expect from the Medion X22 SW+

For anyone wanting a light, compact robot that empties itself and runs long on one charge, it is a tidy package, and the X23 SW+ is the same robot on paper.

The Medion X22 SW+ is a lidar robot vacuum and mop with a self-emptying station: up to 5,000 Pa of suction with a boost on carpet, a station that empties the bin into a 2.5-litre dust bag, a 250-millilitre dust bin, a 250-millilitre water tank and an H13 filter. The station is 300 millimetres wide, 100 millimetres deep and 270 millimetres tall, small enough to stand almost anywhere.

The robot is 93 millimetres tall, 320 millimetres across and weighs 2.5 kilograms. Medion states up to 180 minutes of runtime, about 5 hours to recharge and 68 decibels at most, and the app takes cleaning schedules.

None of our test sources has tested the X22 SW+. The mop is a simple wet attachment, and Medion names no anti-tangle brush.

Based on the maker's specifications and our price data; none of our test sources has tested this model.

Medion X22 SW+ specifications

The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.

Medion · on the market since October 2025

Robot height9.3 cm
Runtime per charge180 min
Suction power5,000 Pa
Noise68 dB
Robot weight2.5 kg

Consumables: a 2.5 l dust bag in the station.

Dimensionsrobot and dock

Dock, from the front 27 cm high 10 cm deep 27 cm 30 cm wide Robot, from the side 32 cm across 9.3 cm

From the published dimensions. The robot passes under furniture with 10 cm of clearance or more. The dock needs a spot 30 cm wide and 10 cm deep.

Suction and brushes 5 facts
Suction power

Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor.

5,000 Pa
Anti-tangle brush

A brush that guides hair to the side instead of letting it wind around the shaft. It saves the cutting work in homes with long hair or pets. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Extending side brush

The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Carpet detection

The robot notices when it drives onto a carpet. Most then raise their suction, and a mopping robot lifts its mop or leaves it at the dock.

detects carpet and boosts suction
Filter type

The filter the exhaust air passes through. A HEPA filter holds back fine dust and pollen, which counts if someone at home has an allergy.

HEPA
Mopping 4 facts
Mop type

How the mop is built: flat pads, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works.

flat or vibrating pad
Mop extends to the edges

The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Automatic mop detach

The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Water tank in the robot

How much clean water the robot carries. It sets how long it mops before a refill, which a dock does by itself.

250 ml
Dock 4 facts
Empties the dust bin

The dock empties the robot’s dust bin, usually after every run. You only empty the dock’s bag or bin.

yes
Bagless

The dock collects dust in a bin instead of a disposable bag. No bags to buy, but you empty it yourself.

no
Dust bag capacity

How much the dust bag in the dock holds.

2.5 l
Dock size (w × d × h)

The width, depth and height of the dock. Measure the spot you have in mind, and leave room for the lid and for the robot driving in.

30 × 10 × 27 cm
Navigation and obstacles 3 facts
Navigation

How the robot maps your home and follows that map. Lidar measures with a laser and works in the dark, a camera looks along and recognises more.

LiDAR turret
Climbing system for high thresholds

An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Stair-edge sensors

Sensors under the robot that see a drop, so it stops at the top of a staircase instead of falling down it.

yes
Robot 5 facts
Robot height

How tall the robot is. It decides whether it fits under your sofa, bed or cabinet.

9.3 cm
Robot diameter

How wide the robot is. Narrower gets between chair legs more easily, wider usually means a bigger dust bin.

32 cm
Robot weight

What the robot weighs. It counts most if you carry it up a staircase every day.

2.5 kg
Dust bin in the robot

How much dust the robot holds before you empty it. It matters less with an auto-empty dock, which empties the bin after every run.

250 ml
Noise

The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.

68 dB
Battery 2 facts
Runtime per charge

How long the robot cleans on one charge, at its quietest setting. After that it recharges and carries on where it stopped.

180 min
Charging time

How long an empty battery takes to charge fully in the dock.

5 h
Smart features and warranty 2 facts
Warranty

The warranty the maker gives in the Netherlands. Consumer law here stands apart from it and can last longer.

2 years
Scheduled runs

You set days and times, and the robot starts by itself, also when you are not at home.
