What testers say about the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow

The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is the roller-mop version of the Qrevo Curv: its SpiraFlow roller is wetted with fresh water and scraped clean while it mops, extends along edges, presses down with 15 newtons and lifts 15 millimetres on carpet, where a shield slides over it to keep rugs dry. It has 20,000 Pa of suction, a split DuoDivide main brush and two side brushes built against tangles, a lidar turret on top and, according to RTINGS, camera-based obstacle recognition. The station empties the bin into a bag, washes the roller in 75-degree water and dries it with 55-degree air, but has no detergent tank.

As a vacuum it impressed. Tom's Guide measured 89.5 percent overall, with 95 to 97.5 percent of the cereal and kitty litter picked up from hard floors and carpet, and never saw it get lost or stuck. Vacuum Wars measured 87 percent of the sand out of medium-pile carpet, against an average of 76.7 percent, found no hair at all wrapped around the brush and praised its efficient lidar navigation and a bin a fifth larger than the Qrevo CurvX's. RTINGS found it good on hard floors, picking up most everyday debris without scattering it, and quiet enough not to startle pets.

The mop divides the testers. Tom's Guide liked the extending roller once the water output was turned up, but Vacuum Wars measured one of the lowest mopping scores it has recorded, 25 points on dried stains against an average of 112, and suspects the roller uses too little water. Pet hair on carpet is a weak point for RTINGS, and Vacuum Wars measured 77.5 percent against an 81 percent average. The side brushes do not extend, so corners stay less clean, RTINGS saw it bump into things on carpet and not reliably avoid pet waste, and at 119 millimetres it is too tall for low furniture. It is a strong vacuum with a premium station, and for more balanced mopping Vacuum Wars points to the Qrevo CurvX.

What the tests like and dislike about the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow

Pros

Cons

Where the testers disagree

  • Mopping: Tom's Guide: The extending roller mop scrubs spills away once water output is raised against Vacuum Wars: The roller mop struggles badly with dried-on stains · Tom's Guide: Leaves streaks on the default low water setting

Each point sums up, in our words, the review of the test it names, and its link leads to that review. We do not summarise RTINGS or Wirecutter: their lists are linked above.

Suction and brushes 4 facts
Suction power

Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor.

20,000 Pa
Anti-tangle brush

A brush that guides hair to the side instead of letting it wind around the shaft. It saves the cutting work in homes with long hair or pets.

yes
Suitable for pet hair

Whether the robot copes with pet hair: a brush that hair does not wind around and a dock that empties the bin for you. Where the maker does not say so itself, we read it from those two.

yes
Dirt detection

A sensor notices where more dirt lies, at the doormat for example, and the robot cleans that patch longer or a second time.

yes
Mopping 5 facts
Mop type

How the mop is built: flat pads, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works.

roller mop
Mop lift on carpet

How far the robot lifts the mop when it drives onto a carpet. From about 10 mm a medium pile stays dry.

15 mm
Mop extends to the edges

The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well.

yes
Automatic mop detach

The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet.

no
Mop refreshed while mopping

The robot returns to the dock during a run to rinse the mop, instead of pushing dirty water around.

yes
Dock 9 facts
Empties the dust bin

The dock empties the robot’s dust bin, usually after every run. You only empty the dock’s bag or bin.

yes
Bagless

The dock collects dust in a bin instead of a disposable bag. No bags to buy, but you empty it yourself.

no
Dust bag capacity

How much the dust bag in the dock holds.

2.7 l
Dust bag lasts

How long the maker says a dust bag lasts with daily use. With pets or a lot of carpet it is shorter.

up to 65 days
Washes the mop

The dock washes the mop for you, so you do not rinse it by hand.

yes
Wash temperature

How hot the dock washes the mop. Above 60 °C grease comes off, which is what keeps a mop from smelling.

75 °C
Dries the mop

The dock dries the mop afterwards, so it does not sit there wet and start to smell.

yes
Hot-air drying

Drying is done with warm air instead of cold. It is faster and it helps against smell.

yes
Dock size (w × d × h)

The width, depth and height of the dock. Measure the spot you have in mind, and leave room for the lid and for the robot driving in.

45 × 45 × 45 cm
Navigation and obstacles 3 facts
Navigation

How the robot maps your home and follows that map. Lidar measures with a laser and works in the dark, a camera looks along and recognises more.

Climbs thresholds up to

The highest threshold the robot takes, as the maker states it. Measure your own: the step into a bathroom or onto a balcony is often higher.

20 mm
Climbing system for high thresholds

An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm.

no
Robot 2 facts
Robot height

How tall the robot is. It decides whether it fits under your sofa, bed or cabinet.

11.9 cm
Dust bin in the robot

How much dust the robot holds before you empty it. It matters less with an auto-empty dock, which empties the bin after every run.

Battery capacity

The capacity of the battery. It hints at the runtime, but how much the robot draws counts just as much.

5,200 mAh
Runtime per charge

How long the robot cleans on one charge, at its quietest setting. After that it recharges and carries on where it stopped.

242 min

How long an empty battery takes to charge fully in the dock.
