The maker

Leitz

  • Headquarters: Germany
  • Founded in 1871
  • Owned by ACCO Brands, United States

Leitz, the office brand that began as a workshop founded by Louis Leitz in 1871, sells air purifiers under the TruSens name. TruSens purifiers use PureDirect technology, which splits the cleaned air into two streams to spread it through the room. A 360 degree HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles at 0.3 micron, and a carbon layer removes VOC gases and odors. A UV-C lamp kills germs and bacteria trapped in the filter. The TruSens Z-3000, made for rooms up to 70 m², comes with a SensorPod that measures the air away from the purifier and sets the fan speed by its readings. The TruSens design won a Red Dot award in 2019.
