What testers say about the eufy L60
The eufy L60 is eufy's budget lidar robot, sold here with a self-empty station: 5,000 Pa of suction with BoostIQ, which raises it by itself on carpet, iPath lidar navigation with maps of several floors, room selection and no-go zones in the app, and a station that empties the bin into a 2.5-liter bag that eufy says lasts up to 60 days. Each time it empties, the station also cuts the hair off the brush roll, according to eufy. The robot is 3.8 inches tall, climbs thresholds of up to 0.8 inches and works with Alexa and Google Assistant.
RTINGS tested the L60 on its plain charging dock. It found the robot very quiet, the eufy Clean app flexible, with rooms you can name, merge and split and with no-go zones, and the brush roll easy to take out. It picked up most fine, medium and large debris from hard floors, and medium and large debris from carpet.
Its overall verdict is critical, though: RTINGS rates its performance in a home with mixed floors as inadequate and calls it a poor option with pets. The side brush flings debris around and dirt stays behind along walls and in corners, fine dust stays in the carpet because the suction cannot pull out what the bristled brush roll loosens, and pet hair wraps around the brush roll and ends up back on the carpet. Cutting that hair off is exactly what this version's station is for, but RTINGS did not test it. The L60 has no obstacle recognition, so it bumps into things and does not avoid cables, socks or pet waste, it does a poor job of keeping fine allergens in, and it does not mop. In a budget home without pets and with a tidy floor, the lidar map and the self-emptying are the draw. With pets, a robot with an anti-tangle brush and better test results on hair is the safer buy.
