What testers say about the eufy S1 Pro

The Eufy S1 Pro is Eufy's flagship for hard floors: a spinning roller mop with 2.2 pounds of downward pressure and an onboard dirty-water tank, an embedded lidar that keeps the robot under 3.9 inches, obstacle recognition with infrared stereo cameras and the tall UniClean station that empties the bin into a 65-day bag, washes the roller and dries it with hot air, refills water and mixes cleaning solution itself, with an ozone generator in the clean-water tank. Vacuum Wars bought one and calls it one of the best vacuum-mop combos for hard floors.

Dried coffee and juice stains came off better than with other models, and on large wet spills it was the best robot the site has ever tested, because the roller absorbs the liquid and drains it instead of smearing it. Obstacle recognition earned a rare perfect score, navigation was well above average at 410 square feet in three quarters of an hour, and the roller lifts 0.5 inches on carpet, more than average. The app is extensive, with virtual walls, multiple maps and adjustable obstacle-recognition sensitivity.

The criticism is on carpet: surface debris went fine, but in the deep-clean test it scored among the lowest the site has ever measured, even after repeated runs, and it got stuck on high-pile rugs, so the testers recommend no-mop zones for those. The station is tall, the app lacks mopping along the grain and settings for roller lifting, and the quoted 8,000 Pa of suction is modest. For a home with almost only hard floors and regular wet messes it is one of the strongest choices; with lots of carpet, look further.
