The Eufy S1 Pro is Eufy's flagship for hard floors: a spinning roller mop with a kilogram of downward pressure and an onboard dirty-water tank, an embedded lidar that keeps the robot under ten centimetres, obstacle recognition with infrared stereo cameras and the tall UniClean station that empties the bin into a 65-day bag, washes the roller and dries it with hot air, refills water and mixes cleaning solution itself, with an ozone generator in the clean-water tank. Vacuum Wars bought one and calls it one of the best vacuum-mop combos for hard floors.

What testers say about the eufy S1 Pro
Dried coffee and juice stains came off better than with other models, and on large wet spills it was the best robot the site has ever tested, because the roller absorbs the liquid and drains it instead of smearing it. Obstacle recognition earned a rare perfect score, navigation was well above average at 38 square metres in three quarters of an hour, and the roller lifts 12.7 millimetres on carpet, more than average. The app is extensive, with virtual walls, multiple maps and adjustable obstacle-recognition sensitivity.
The criticism is on carpet: surface debris went fine, but in the deep-clean test it scored among the lowest the site has ever measured, even after repeated runs, and it got stuck on high-pile rugs, so the testers recommend no-mop zones for those. The station is tall, the app lacks mopping along the grain and settings for roller lifting, and the quoted 8,000 Pa of suction is modest. For a home with almost only hard floors and regular wet messes it is one of the strongest choices; with lots of carpet, look further.

eufy S1 Pro specifications
The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.
How the robot keeps hair off its brushes: a blade that cuts it, a comb that strips it off or a brush in two halves that lets it slide to the middle. A rubber brush is listed under the main brush.
comb that strips hair off
Extending side brush
When it matters
Corners and edges along kickboards, where a round robot leaves a strip of dust.
The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Carpet detection
When it matters
Rugs and carpets, where the robot should raise its suction.
Mopping in a home with rugs, which have to stay dry.
The robot notices when it drives onto a carpet. Most then raise their suction, and a mopping robot lifts its mop or leaves it at the dock.

Suitable for pet hair
When it matters
Dogs and cats that shed.
Long-haired pets, whose hair wraps around a brush.
When it matters less
Without pets, ordinary hair and dust need nothing special.
Source: derived, no source of its own · checked on 2 Oct
Whether the robot copes with pet hair: a brush that hair does not wind around and a dock that empties the bin for you. Where the maker does not say so itself, we read it from those two.
How the mop is built: flat pads, a vibrating pad, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works.
The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Mop refreshed while mopping
When it matters
Large hard floors, where a mop that is never rinsed spreads dirt around.
Kitchens with sticky spills.
When it matters less
In a small home the mop does not get dirty enough in one run for it to matter.
The dock collects dust in a bin instead of a disposable bag. No bags to buy, but you empty it yourself. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.
An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Camera on board
When it matters
Privacy, if you would rather not have a camera driving through your home.
Small things on the floor, which a camera sees better than lidar alone.
When it matters less
If the floor is tidied before each run, a camera adds little.

Whether the robot has a camera, and what for: to recognise obstacles, or also to show you a live picture of your home in the app.

When it matters less
In a home that is tidied before each run it adds little.
An arm on the robot that picks up small loose things such as socks, so they are not in its way. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

The noise in decibels while cleaning, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation. Emptying by the dock is louder and listed on its own.
Matter is the standard that lets devices from different makers work together. With it you can run the robot outside the maker’s own app. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
