Hama is a German brand of accessories and technology, based in Monheim in Bavaria, which says it started in 1923 with photography products. Its Smart air purifier cleans the air through three filters, a pre-filter, a HEPA H13 filter and an activated carbon filter, and Hama gives it a clean air delivery rate of about 250 cubic metres an hour. It connects to the home router over WiFi without a hub and can be run from the Hama Smart Home app or with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. An air sensor sets the fan speed by itself, and Hama says the app data is stored only on German servers. For its Basic air purifier Hama sells a combined filter with four layers, a pre-filter, an EPA E11 filter, activated carbon and a cold catalyst layer that filters formaldehyde.
