What to expect from the JONR T5 Pro

For anyone who wants a full station with hot-air drying on an entry-level budget, it is an interesting option on paper to set beside tested stations.

The JONR T5 Pro is a robot with an all-in-one station: the station empties the bin, washes the mop pads and dries them with hot air. By our specifications it mops with spinning pads, which reach out along edges.

The robot navigates with lidar, pulls 8,000 Pa of suction, has a HEPA filter and cliff sensors for stairs, and JONR states a quiet 55 dB. It climbs thresholds of up to 20 millimetres, carries on where it stopped after recharging, and JONR calls it suitable for pet hair.

Our specifications list no run time, battery capacity, height, anti-tangle brush or obstacle recognition, and no tank sizes. None of our test sources has tested the T5 Pro.

Based on the maker's specifications and our price data; none of our test sources has tested this model.

The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.

Climbs thresholds up to20 mm
Suction power8,000 Pa
Noise55 dB
Suction and brushes 3 facts
Suction power

Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor.

8,000 Pa
Suitable for pet hair

Whether the robot copes with pet hair: a brush that hair does not wind around and a dock that empties the bin for you. Where the maker does not say so itself, we read it from those two.

yes
Filter type

The filter the exhaust air passes through. A HEPA filter holds back fine dust and pollen, which counts if someone at home has an allergy.

HEPA
Mopping 2 facts
Mop type

How the mop is built: flat pads, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works. On this model: seen on the product photo, not stated in the maker's text.

spinning pads
Mop extends to the edges

The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well.

yes
Dock 4 facts
Empties the dust bin

The dock empties the robot’s dust bin, usually after every run. You only empty the dock’s bag or bin.

yes
Washes the mop

The dock washes the mop for you, so you do not rinse it by hand.

yes
Dries the mop

The dock dries the mop afterwards, so it does not sit there wet and start to smell.

yes
Hot-air drying

Drying is done with warm air instead of cold. It is faster and it helps against smell.

yes
Navigation and obstacles 4 facts
Navigation

How the robot maps your home and follows that map. Lidar measures with a laser and works in the dark, a camera looks along and recognises more.

LiDAR turret
Climbs thresholds up to

The highest threshold the robot takes, as the maker states it. Measure your own: the step into a bathroom or onto a balcony is often higher.

20 mm
Recharge and resume

When the battery runs low in the middle of a run, the robot recharges and then carries on where it stopped.

yes
Stair-edge sensors

Sensors under the robot that see a drop, so it stops at the top of a staircase instead of falling down it.

yes
Robot 1 fact
Noise

The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.

55 dB
Smart features and warranty 1 fact
Scheduled runs

You set days and times, and the robot starts by itself, also when you are not at home.
