Nearly every robot vacuum today mops as well, but not every robot mops the same way. A flat mop pad drags a damp cloth over the floor and freshens it. Two spinning mop pads press harder and lift dried-on dirt too. A roller mop is rinsed with clean water all the while it mops, so it does not push dirty water around.
Two more things matter. Does the robot lift the mop, or leave it in the station, when it drives onto a rug? If not, the rug gets wet. Can a robot vacuum really mop?
It keeps a hard floor fresh every day. A robot mops with little water and little pressure, so a dried-in stain or a sticky spill does not always come off in one go. Spinning pads and a roller mop do better at that than a flat pad, because they press harder or rinse themselves clean. It does not replace a thorough clean with a bucket and mop.

Both do more than a flat pad, which mostly freshens. Each model on this page says which system it has. Will my rug get wet?
Not if the robot lifts or detaches the mop. Lifted by about 10 mm or more, a medium-pile rug stays dry. A robot that leaves the mop in the station before it vacuums carpet keeps every rug dry. Each model on this page says what it does. Of the ranked robots on sale today, 36 keep a rug dry. The best-ranked of them is the Narwal Freo 20, at 999 €.

Do I need a station that washes the mop?
Without one, you rinse the mop yourself after every run, or it starts to smell. A station that washes the mop, ideally with hot water, and then dries it with warm air takes that job over. It nearly always comes in an all-in-one station, which empties the dust bin as well. Of the ranked robots on sale today, 33 have a station that washes the mop and dries it warm. The best-ranked is the Narwal Freo 20, at 999 €, the cheapest the Ecovacs Deebot T80 Omni, at 348 €.
