What to expect from the Ecovacs Deebot T50 Max Pro Omni

The Ecovacs Deebot T50 Max Pro Omni is an all-in-one robot built to reach edges: a side brush that extends into corners, spinning mop pads that move out along skirting boards, and a mop lift of 18 millimetres that keeps the pads clear of deep-pile rugs. Beyond that, 18,500 Pa of suction, a ZeroTangle main brush built against hair wrap, and obstacle recognition with Ecovacs' AIVI 3D camera combined with structured light. The station empties the bin, washes the pads in water of up to 75 degrees, dries them with 45-degree hot air and doses detergent by itself.

On paper that is a complete package: extending brush and mop, a high mop lift, hot-water washing, hot-air drying and detergent dosing are all on board, the features that separate a flagship station from a basic one. At 98 millimetres the robot is of ordinary height, and thresholds stop at 22 millimetres.

None of our test sources has measured this model, so how well it vacuums, mops and avoids obstacles is still unknown. Our specifications list no battery capacity, run time or bag size. Anyone who would rather buy on test results can look at the T90 Pro Omni, a tested Ecovacs with a self-rinsing roller mop, and anyone who needs a lower robot at the T50 Pro Omni, which is 81 millimetres tall.

Based on the maker's specifications and our price data; none of our test sources has tested this model.

From the published dimensions. The dock needs a spot 35 cm wide and 48 cm deep.

Suction and brushes 5 facts
Suction power

Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor.

18,500 Pa
Anti-tangle brush

A brush that guides hair to the side instead of letting it wind around the shaft. It saves the cutting work in homes with long hair or pets.

yes
Extending side brush

The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too.

yes
Carpet detection

The robot notices when it drives onto a carpet. Most then raise their suction, and a mopping robot lifts its mop or leaves it at the dock.

detects carpet
Suitable for pet hair

Whether the robot copes with pet hair: a brush that hair does not wind around and a dock that empties the bin for you. Where the maker does not say so itself, we read it from those two.

yes
Mopping 3 facts
Mop type

How the mop is built: flat pads, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works.

spinning pads
Mop lift on carpet

How far the robot lifts the mop when it drives onto a carpet. From about 10 mm a medium pile stays dry.

18 mm
Mop extends to the edges

The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well.

yes
Dock 10 facts
Empties the dust bin

The dock empties the robot’s dust bin, usually after every run. You only empty the dock’s bag or bin.

yes
Bagless

The dock collects dust in a bin instead of a disposable bag. No bags to buy, but you empty it yourself.

no
Dust bag capacity

How much the dust bag in the dock holds.

3 l
Dust bag lasts

How long the maker says a dust bag lasts with daily use. With pets or a lot of carpet it is shorter.

up to 90 days
Washes the mop

The dock washes the mop for you, so you do not rinse it by hand.

yes
Wash temperature

How hot the dock washes the mop. Above 60 °C grease comes off, which is what keeps a mop from smelling.

75 °C
Dries the mop

The dock dries the mop afterwards, so it does not sit there wet and start to smell.

yes
Hot-air drying

Drying is done with warm air instead of cold. It is faster and it helps against smell.

yes
Dispenses detergent

The dock mixes detergent into the water itself, from its own bottle.

yes
Dock size (w × d × h)

The width, depth and height of the dock. Measure the spot you have in mind, and leave room for the lid and for the robot driving in.

35 × 47.7 × 53.3 cm
Navigation and obstacles 5 facts
Navigation

How the robot maps your home and follows that map. Lidar measures with a laser and works in the dark, a camera looks along and recognises more.

built-in LiDAR, no turret
Obstacle avoidance

How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.

AI camera
Climbs thresholds up to

The highest threshold the robot takes, as the maker states it. Measure your own: the step into a bathroom or onto a balcony is often higher.

22 mm
Climbing system for high thresholds

An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm.

no
Camera on board

Whether the robot has a camera, and what for: to recognise obstacles, or also to show you a live picture of your home in the app.

obstacle camera
Robot 3 facts
Robot height

How tall the robot is. It decides whether it fits under your sofa, bed or cabinet.

9.8 cm
Dust bin in the robot

How much dust the robot holds before you empty it. It matters less with an auto-empty dock, which empties the bin after every run.

300 ml
Noise

The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.

64.9 dB
Battery 2 facts
Battery capacity

The capacity of the battery. It hints at the runtime, but how much the robot draws counts just as much.

6,400 mAh
Runtime per charge

How long the robot cleans on one charge, at its quietest setting. After that it recharges and carries on where it stopped.

206 min
Smart features and warranty 1 fact
Home Assistant

Whether the robot works with Home Assistant, the home automation software you run yourself. Official means the integration comes with Home Assistant itself, community that volunteers maintain it.
