How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.
When it matters
Cables, socks and toys left on the floor.
Pets, whose accidents a robot should steer around.
In a home that is tidied before each run it matters less.

Cleaning while you work, sleep or watch TV at home.
Open-plan living spaces where sound carries.
When it runs while nobody is home the figure hardly matters.

For anyone who wants a small, quiet robot for a flat without thresholds, it is an entry model to set beside tested ones.
The ILIFE V5s Pro is a small, light robot vacuum with a mop pad and no station: it is 76 millimetres tall, 306 millimetres across and weighs 2.05 kilograms, so it gets under a lot of furniture and between chair legs. ILIFE states a quiet 50 dB.
It is rated for 120 minutes and carries on where it stopped after recharging. It has cliff sensors for stairs, runs on schedules, and ILIFE calls it suitable for pet hair.
It climbs thresholds of only 10 millimetres, and our specifications list no suction figure, no navigation system, no anti-tangle brush and no obstacle recognition. None of our test sources has tested the V5s Pro.
Based on the maker's specifications and our price data; none of our test sources has tested this model.

Suitable for pet hair
When it matters
Dogs and cats that shed.
Long-haired pets, whose hair wraps around a brush.
Without pets, ordinary hair and dust need nothing special.
Whether the robot copes with pet hair: a brush that hair does not wind around and a dock that empties the bin for you. Where the maker does not say so itself, we read it from those two.

Mopping1 fact
Mop type
When it matters
Homes with a lot of hard floor that you want mopped, not just wiped.
Dried-on dirt in a kitchen, which spinning pads or a roller scrub off better than a dragged cloth.
If you only vacuum, the mop’s build decides nothing.
