What testers say about the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete
The MOVA V50 Ultra Complete is an all-in-one robot with two spinning mop pads of which one extends, an extending side brush, a retractable lidar and a climbing system for thresholds up to six centimetres. The station empties the bin into a 3.2-litre bag good for about a hundred days, washes the pads in hot water, dries them with hot air and doses cleaning solution or a pet-odour formula. Vacuum Wars put it first in its own top 20 after testing; it now sits 19th, overtaken by newer models.
In the tests it lifted 88 percent of the sand embedded in carpet, a top-ten score of all time at Vacuum Wars, and pressed-in pet hair was picked up at 88 percent against an 81 average. The twin main brush channels hair to one side and came out of the long-hair test spotless. The extending side brush made corners noticeably cleaner, and the testers praised the price, clearly below similarly equipped Roborock and Ecovacs models.
The criticism is limited and mostly relative: rivals have since mopped better and climbed higher thresholds, and Vacuum Wars publishes no threshold measurement for this model. Without a water hookup you refill the clean tank yourself. For flagship equipment at a mid-range price this remains one of the better buys.

The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

Frequently asked questions about the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete
1
Does the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete empty its own dust bin?
Yes. The station empties the robot’s dust bin after every run. The 3.2 l dust bag in the station lasts up to 100 days, the maker says.
2
Does the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete wash and dry its own mop?
Yes. The station washes the mop itself, with water at 80 °C. It then dries the mop with warm air.
3
Does the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete work with Alexa, Google Home or Siri?
It works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri.
4
How high a threshold can the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete climb?
Thresholds up to 42 mm, the maker says. With its climbing system it also takes two steps close together, up to 60 mm in all. Measure your own thresholds: the ones to a bathroom or balcony are often higher.
5
Does the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete fit under low furniture?
The robot is 9 cm tall, so it fits under furniture with at least 9 cm of clearance. Its lidar turret retracts where space is tight.
6
Is the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete suitable for pet hair?
Yes, the maker says. The brush guides hair to the side instead of winding it round the roller.
