What testers say about the Roborock Qrevo CurvX
The Roborock Qrevo CurvX is a flagship with two spinning mop pads of which one extends, a split anti-tangle main brush, an extending side brush, a retractable lidar that keeps the robot under eight centimetres tall, and a lifting chassis for thresholds up to four centimetres. The station empties the bin into a bag, washes the pads in 80-degree water and dries them. Vacuum Wars tested it for weeks in the studio and then for three months in a busy family home, and rated it higher as time went on.
On carpet it lifted 92 percent of the embedded sand, tied third among more than 200 robots tested, and nothing was wrapped around the brush after the long-hair test. The battery lasts: 220 minutes according to Roborock, and in the measurements well above the average efficiency, good for an estimated 135 square metres per charge. The retractable lidar took it under furniture a fixed turret cannot reach, and the camera-based obstacle recognition is among the better ones.
The criticism from the real-world period was mostly about mopping: only after adjusting the settings did the robot leave clean floors, and the station does not use hot air to dry the pads. In the first review it scored lower than expected; after Vacuum Wars revised its test method it climbed to second place in their list. Compare its price with the standard Qrevo Curv and the newer Curv 2 Pro.

Roborock Qrevo CurvX specifications
The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.
The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.

Carpet detection
When it matters
Rugs and carpets, where the robot should raise its suction.
Mopping in a home with rugs, which have to stay dry.
The robot notices when it drives onto a carpet. Most then raise their suction, and a mopping robot lifts its mop or leaves it at the dock.
detects carpet and boosts suction

Long-haired pets, whose hair wraps around a brush.
Without pets, ordinary hair and dust need nothing special.

Dirt detection
When it matters
Entrances and kitchens, where dirt gathers in one place.
Pets that leave hair in a favourite spot.
If dirt is spread evenly, a normal pass cleans it just as well.
The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Mop refreshed while mopping
When it matters
Large hard floors, where a mop that is never rinsed spreads dirt around.
Kitchens with sticky spills.
In a small home the mop does not get dirty enough in one run for it to matter.
The robot returns to the dock during a run to rinse the mop, instead of pushing dirty water around. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

When it matters
Pets, sand or a large home, which fill the bin every run.
Dust allergy, since you rarely touch the dust yourself.
In a small home with little dust, emptying the bin by hand takes a moment.
The dock collects dust in a bin instead of a disposable bag. No bags to buy, but you empty it yourself. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

If you rarely mop, washing the pads by hand is little work.

Frequently asked questions about the Roborock Qrevo CurvX
1
Does the Roborock Qrevo CurvX empty its own dust bin?
Yes. The station empties the robot’s dust bin after every run. The 2.7 l dust bag in the station lasts up to 65 days, the maker says.
2
Does the Roborock Qrevo CurvX wash and dry its own mop?
Yes. The station washes the mop itself, with water at 80 °C. It then dries the mop with warm air.
3
Does the Roborock Qrevo CurvX work with Alexa, Google Home or Siri?
It works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri. It also supports Matter, so it fits into another brand’s app. Home Assistant has an official integration for this model.
4
How high a threshold can the Roborock Qrevo CurvX climb?
Thresholds up to 30 mm, the maker says. With its climbing system it also takes two steps close together, up to 40 mm in all. Measure your own thresholds: the ones to a bathroom or balcony are often higher.
5
Does the Roborock Qrevo CurvX fit under low furniture?
The robot is 8 cm tall, so it fits under furniture with at least 8 cm of clearance. Its lidar turret retracts where space is tight.
6
Is the Roborock Qrevo CurvX suitable for pet hair?
Yes, the maker says. The brush guides hair to the side instead of winding it round the roller.
