What to expect from the Medion X55 SW+ Pro

For anyone wanting a station that washes the mops without paying for a big brand, it covers the essentials of a washing station.

The Medion X55 SW+ Pro is Medion's all-in-one: up to 10,000 Pa of suction, two spinning mops that lift 10 millimetres on carpet, obstacle recognition with a cross-line laser and lidar navigation. The station empties the bin into a 3.5-litre bag, washes and dries the mops, and holds 4 litres of clean and 3.5 litres of dirty water.

The robot is 100 millimetres tall, 350 millimetres across and weighs 3.9 kilograms, with a 300-millilitre dust bin, a 220-millilitre water tank, an H13 filter and up to 225 minutes of runtime. The station is 395 millimetres wide, 283 millimetres deep and 445 millimetres tall.

None of our test sources has tested the X55 SW+ Pro. Medion gives 80 decibels at most, loud for a robot, and names no hot water, hot-air drying, detergent dosing or anti-tangle brush.

Based on the maker's specifications and our price data; none of our test sources has tested this model.

Medion X55 SW+ Pro specifications

The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.

Medion · on the market since March 2026

Robot height10 cm
Mop lift on carpet10 mm
Runtime per charge225 min
Suction power10,000 Pa
Noise80 dB

Consumables: a 3.5 l dust bag in the station.

Dimensionsrobot and dock

Dock, from the front 44.5 cm high 28.3 cm deep 44.5 cm 39.5 cm wide Robot, from the side 35 cm across 10 cm

From the published dimensions. The robot passes under furniture with 10 cm of clearance or more. The dock needs a spot 40 cm wide and 28 cm deep.

Suction and brushes 4 facts
Suction power

Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor.

10,000 Pa
Anti-tangle brush

A brush that guides hair to the side instead of letting it wind around the shaft. It saves the cutting work in homes with long hair or pets. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Extending side brush

The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Filter type

The filter the exhaust air passes through. A HEPA filter holds back fine dust and pollen, which counts if someone at home has an allergy.

HEPA
Mopping 4 facts
Mop type

How the mop is built: flat pads, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works.

spinning pads
Mop lift on carpet

How far the robot lifts the mop when it drives onto a carpet. From about 10 mm a medium pile stays dry.

10 mm
Automatic mop detach

The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Water tank in the robot

How much clean water the robot carries. It sets how long it mops before a refill, which a dock does by itself.

220 ml
Dock 10 facts
Empties the dust bin

The dock empties the robot’s dust bin, usually after every run. You only empty the dock’s bag or bin.

yes
Dust bag capacity

How much the dust bag in the dock holds.

3.5 l
Washes the mop

The dock washes the mop for you, so you do not rinse it by hand.

yes
Dries the mop

The dock dries the mop afterwards, so it does not sit there wet and start to smell.

yes
Hot-air drying

Drying is done with warm air instead of cold. It is faster and it helps against smell. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Dispenses detergent

The dock mixes detergent into the water itself, from its own bottle. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Plumbing hookup

The dock can be connected to the tap and the drain, so you never fill or empty a tank. It does need a connection nearby. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Clean water tank

The clean water tank in the dock, which wets the mop.

4 l
Dirty water tank

The tank that catches the dirty water from the mop. You empty this one yourself.

3.5 l
Dock size (w × d × h)

The width, depth and height of the dock. Measure the spot you have in mind, and leave room for the lid and for the robot driving in.

39.5 × 28.3 × 44.5 cm
Navigation and obstacles 3 facts
Navigation

How the robot maps your home and follows that map. Lidar measures with a laser and works in the dark, a camera looks along and recognises more.

LiDAR turret
Obstacle avoidance

How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.

3D sensor (structured light)
Climbing system for high thresholds

An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.

no (assumed)
Robot 5 facts
Robot height

How tall the robot is. It decides whether it fits under your sofa, bed or cabinet.

10 cm
Robot diameter

How wide the robot is. Narrower gets between chair legs more easily, wider usually means a bigger dust bin.

35 cm
Robot weight

What the robot weighs. It counts most if you carry it up a staircase every day.

3.9 kg
Dust bin in the robot

How much dust the robot holds before you empty it. It matters less with an auto-empty dock, which empties the bin after every run.

300 ml
Noise

The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.

80 dB
Battery 1 fact
Runtime per charge

How long the robot cleans on one charge, at its quietest setting. After that it recharges and carries on where it stopped.

225 min
Smart features and warranty 1 fact
Warranty

The warranty the maker gives in Germany. Consumer law here stands apart from it and can last longer.
