The labs that have tested this model, each linked to its own review.
How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.
When it matters
Cables, socks and toys left on the floor.
Pets, whose accidents a robot should steer around.
In a home that is tidied before each run it matters less.
The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.

When it matters
Cleaning while you work, sleep or watch TV at home.
Open-plan living spaces where sound carries.
When it runs while nobody is home the figure hardly matters.
Facts as the maker states them. A dash means the maker does not name it. Each model’s page gives the source of every fact. Noise is the maker’s own figure, so we do not judge it, and a customer rating only counts from 20 reviews.

For anyone wanting spinning mops, laser obstacle avoidance and a self-emptying station at a mid-range price, it is a lot of robot on paper.
The Medion X51 SW+ is a lidar robot with a self-emptying station and two spinning mops: up to 10,000 Pa of suction in the robot, a station that empties it into 3 litres, obstacle recognition with a cross-line laser, and a 175-millilitre water tank for the mops. On carpet it raises its suction by itself.
The robot is 98 millimetres tall, 350 millimetres across, with a 230-millilitre dust bin and up to 160 minutes of runtime. Medion gives 74 decibels at most, a figure on the loud side. The app takes no-go and go-to zones and a calendar.
None of our test sources has tested the X51 SW+. The station empties but does not wash the mops, so they are rinsed by hand, and Medion names no anti-tangle brush.
Based on the maker's specifications and our price data; none of our test sources has tested this model.
Medion X51 SW+ specifications
The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.
A brush that guides hair to the side instead of letting it wind around the shaft. It saves the cutting work in homes with long hair or pets. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Extending side brush
When it matters
Corners and edges along kickboards, where a round robot leaves a strip of dust.
The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Carpet detection
When it matters
Rugs and carpets, where the robot should raise its suction.
Mopping in a home with rugs, which have to stay dry.
The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Water tank in the robot
When it matters
Large hard floors mopped in one go.
A robot whose dock does not refill it during a run.
With a dock that refills the robot during the run, the tank’s size hardly matters.
How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.
An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
No-go zones
When it matters
Pet bowls, a play corner or a rug with tassels the robot should skip.
Places where it gets stuck, such as under a low chair.
In a clear home with nothing to avoid you will rarely use it.
The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.
