How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.

What to expect from the Philips HomeRun 2000 Series XU2000/10
For anyone wanting a simple mapping robot from a familiar brand, with a battery that can be replaced later, it does the basics.
The Philips HomeRun 2000 Series XU2000/10 is Philips' entry robot: lidar navigation, 2,700 Pa of suction, a 380-millilitre dust bin and a 300-millilitre water tank for a passive mop that does not lift. Philips states up to 130 minutes on a 2,600 mAh battery that can be taken out and replaced, and up to 5.5 hours to recharge.
The robot is 97 millimetres tall, 345 millimetres across and weighs 3.1 kilograms, crosses thresholds of up to 17 millimetres, keeps maps of five floors and connects on 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, with basic control through Alexa and Google Assistant and a 2-year warranty.
Philips' own spec table is frank about what is missing: no hair detangling, no obstacle detection, no carpet detection (dry zones are set in the app instead) and no dirt detection. None of our test sources has tested it.

Philips HomeRun 2000 Series XU2000/10 specifications
The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.
The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Carpet detection
When it matters
Rugs and carpets, where the robot should raise its suction.
Mopping in a home with rugs, which have to stay dry.
The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Water tank in the robot
When it matters
Large hard floors mopped in one go.
A robot whose dock does not refill it during a run.
With a dock that refills the robot during the run, the tank’s size hardly matters.
How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.
An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Multi-floor maps
When it matters
A home on two or three floors you carry the robot between.
The noise in decibels, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation.
