What to expect from the Philips HomeRun 2000 Series XU2100/10
For anyone wanting the simple Philips robot without emptying the bin after every run, the station is what the extra money buys.
The Philips HomeRun 2000 Series XU2100/10 is the XU2000/10 with a self-emptying station: the same lidar robot with 2,700 Pa of suction, a 380-millilitre dust bin and a passive mop on a 300-millilitre tank, now emptied into a 3-litre anti-allergy bag in a station 291 millimetres tall.
Philips states up to 130 minutes on a removable 2,600 mAh battery, maps of five floors, thresholds of up to 17 millimetres, a robot 97 millimetres tall weighing 3.1 kilograms, Wi-Fi on 2.4 and 5 GHz, and basic control through Alexa and Google Assistant, with a 2-year warranty.
As on the XU2000/10, Philips lists no hair detangling, no obstacle detection, no carpet detection and no dirt detection, and the mop does not lift. None of our test sources has tested it.
Based on the maker's specifications and our price data. None of our test sources has tested this model.
Philips HomeRun 2000 Series XU2100/10 specifications
The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.
The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Carpet detection
When it matters
Rugs and carpets, where the robot should raise its suction.
Mopping in a home with rugs, which have to stay dry.
The pad slides out along a wall or a kickboard, so the last few centimetres are mopped as well. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Mop refreshed while mopping
When it matters
Large hard floors, where a mop that is never rinsed spreads dirt around.
Kitchens with sticky spills.
When it matters less
In a small home the mop does not get dirty enough in one run for it to matter.
How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact.
An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Multi-floor maps
When it matters
A home on two or three floors you carry the robot between.
The noise in decibels while cleaning, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation. Emptying by the dock is louder and listed on its own.
Matter is the standard that lets devices from different makers work together. With it you can run the robot outside the maker’s own app. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Voice assistants
When it matters
Starting the robot by voice while your hands are full.
A home already run with Alexa, Google or Siri.
When it matters less
If you start it from the app or a schedule, you will not miss it.
