The Roborock Qrevo S5V is a mid-range robot with two spinning mop pads of which one extends, a split anti-tangle main brush, an extending side brush and obstacle recognition with 3D structured light. The station empties the bin into a 2.7-litre bag, washes the pads and dries them with warm air. Vacuum Wars tested it and calls it a great-value robot, provided you find it discounted.

What testers say about the Roborock Qrevo S5V
The Roborock Qrevo S5V is a mid-range robot with two spinning mop pads of which one extends, a split anti-tangle main brush, an extending side brush and obstacle recognition with 3D structured light. The station empties the bin into a 2.7-litre bag, washes the pads and dries them with warm air. Vacuum Wars tested it and calls it a great-value robot, provided you find it discounted.
The surprise was carpet: 92 percent of the embedded sand came out, the fourth-best score among more than 150 robots tested, and pressed-in pet hair was picked up at 92 percent. Nothing was wrapped around the brush after the long-hair test. Mopping was good too: dried stains scored 120 points against a 93 average, and the overall mopping score came in well above average. The pads lift a centimetre on carpet, so vacuuming and mopping fit in one run.
The criticism: the station washes the pads in cold water where rivals increasingly use hot water, and the robot leaves about a quarter more water on the floor than average, which can cause streaks. The lidar sits in a fixed turret, thresholds stop at two centimetres and there is no water-line hookup. For homes with mostly carpet and pet hair that want an auto-empty station with mopping without flagship money, it is one of Roborock's strongest bargains.

Roborock Qrevo S5V specifications
The numbers that matter first, then every fact by group. As published by the maker or the shop we read it from.
Suction in pascal, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot picks grit off a hard floor. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
12,000 Pa
Anti-tangle brush
542 of the 571 models we track have this.
When it matters
Long hair and pet hair, which wrap around a bristle brush.
Homes where you would rather not cut hair off the brush.
A brush that guides hair to the side instead of letting it wind around the shaft. It saves the cutting work in homes with long hair or pets. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
How the robot keeps hair off its brushes: a blade that cuts it, a comb that strips it off or a brush in two halves that lets it slide to the middle. A rubber brush is listed under the main brush.
split brush
Extending side brush
When it matters
Corners and edges along kickboards, where a round robot leaves a strip of dust.
The side brush swings out in a corner or along a kickboard, so the dust there is swept in too. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
yes
Suitable for pet hair
When it matters
Dogs and cats that shed.
Long-haired pets, whose hair wraps around a brush.
When it matters less
Without pets, ordinary hair and dust need nothing special.
Source: derived, no source of its own · checked on 2 Oct
Whether the robot copes with pet hair: a brush that hair does not wind around and a dock that empties the bin for you. Where the maker does not say so itself, we read it from those two.
yes
Mopping6 facts
Mop type
When it matters
Homes with a lot of hard floor that you want mopped, not just wiped.
Dried-on dirt in a kitchen, which spinning pads or a roller scrub off better than a dragged cloth.
When it matters less
If you only vacuum, the mop’s build decides nothing.
How the mop is built: flat pads, a vibrating pad, two spinning discs or a roller. Discs press harder on dried-on dirt, a roller rinses itself while it works. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
How far the robot lifts the mop when it drives onto a carpet. From about 10 mm a medium pile stays dry. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
10 mm
Mop extends to the edges
When it matters
Kitchens and hallways where dirt gathers along the kickboard.
Homes with many corners and table legs.
When it matters less
In open rooms the strip it leaves along the wall is small.
The robot leaves the mop at the dock before it vacuums a carpet, so the carpet never gets wet. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Mop refreshed while mopping
When it matters
Large hard floors, where a mop that is never rinsed spreads dirt around.
Kitchens with sticky spills.
When it matters less
In a small home the mop does not get dirty enough in one run for it to matter.
The dock empties the robot’s dust bin, usually after every run. You only empty the dock’s bag or bin. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
yes
Bagless
When it matters
Not wanting to buy bags again and again.
Pets, whose hair fills a bag quickly.
When it matters less
With a dust allergy a sealed bag keeps the dust in when you throw it away, so bagless is no gain.
How long the maker says a dust bag lasts with daily use. With pets or a lot of carpet it is shorter. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
up to 30 days
Washes the mop
320 of the 403 models we track have this.
When it matters
Mopping several times a week, when rinsing pads by hand gets tiresome.
Kitchens and hallways, where a mop picks up a lot of dirt.
When it matters less
If you rarely mop, washing the pads by hand is little work.
Drying is done with warm air instead of cold. It is faster and it helps against smell. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
yes
Dispenses detergent
When it matters
Kitchens and greasy floors, where water alone leaves a film.
Not wanting to add cleaner by hand each time.
When it matters less
Some floors, such as oiled wood, are best mopped with water only, so there it adds nothing.
The dock mixes detergent into the water itself, from its own bottle. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Plumbing hookup
When it matters
Mopping every day, without filling and emptying tanks.
A spot near a tap and a drain, such as a utility room or under a kitchen counter.
When it matters less
If the dock stands far from any plumbing, it is no use.
The dock can be connected to the tap and the drain, so you never fill or empty a tank. It does need a connection nearby. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Dock size (w × d × h)
When it matters
A small hallway or a niche where the dock has to fit.
Placing the dock under a cabinet or a counter.
When it matters less
Along an open wall with room to spare it decides little.
How the robot maps your home and follows that map. Lidar measures with a laser and works in the dark, a camera looks along and recognises more. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
LiDAR turret
Obstacle avoidance
When it matters
Cables, socks and toys left on the floor.
Pets, whose accidents a robot should steer around.
When it matters less
In a home that is tidied before each run it matters less.
How the robot sees loose things on the floor, such as cables, socks or a pet accident. A camera with depth sensing sees more than a bumper that reacts on contact. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
The highest threshold the robot takes, as the maker states it. Measure your own: the step into a bathroom or onto a balcony is often higher. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
An extending leg or wheel that carries the robot over a high threshold. Without one it usually stops at about 2 cm. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
No-go zones
When it matters
Pet bowls, a play corner or a rug with tassels the robot should skip.
Places where it gets stuck, such as under a low chair.
When it matters less
In a clear home with nothing to avoid you will rarely use it.
The noise in decibels while cleaning, in the setting its source names: makers mostly give the standard setting, shops often the highest. 65 dB is like a vacuum at half power, 55 dB like a conversation. Emptying by the dock is louder and listed on its own.
Matter is the standard that lets devices from different makers work together. With it you can run the robot outside the maker’s own app. On this model: Assumed, not a stated fact: the maker's full specification does not name it, so we take it as no.
no (assumed)
Voice assistants
When it matters
Starting the robot by voice while your hands are full.
A home already run with Alexa, Google or Siri.
When it matters less
If you start it from the app or a schedule, you will not miss it.
Which voice assistants the robot works with, such as Google Assistant or Alexa. On this model: from the maker's product text, not from a specification table.
Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri
Warranty
When it matters
A robot with a dock full of pumps and moving parts, where more can break.
An expensive robot you plan to keep for years.
When it matters less
For a cheap robot you would replace rather than repair, the extra years count for less.
Whether the robot works with Home Assistant, the home automation software you run yourself. Official means the integration comes with Home Assistant itself, community that volunteers maintain it.
