The models in our ranking run from about $99 to $1,599 today. A robot with a self-emptying station costs from $249 today, one with an all-in-one station that also washes the mop from $399. We show the lowest verified price of the day per model, shipping included, before sales tax.
No robot vacuum you can buy today is banned. On July 28, 2026 the FCC added foreign-produced “advanced robotic devices”, mobile robots, to its Covered List (Public Notice DA 26-786). Its fact sheet says this does not affect devices people already own, and does not stop stores from selling or importing models the FCC authorized before. What it stops is a new foreign-made model getting FCC authorization without a Conditional Approval from the Department of War. A waiver (DA 26-789) keeps software and firmware updates coming for authorized devices until at least January 1, 2029. The FCC told CNET and PCMag the listing covers robot vacuums. It saves maintenance: the station empties the bin, washes the mop and dries it, often for weeks without you touching anything. You pay for that in money and in floor space, because such a station is large. With mostly hard floors and little room, a self-emptying station is enough.

Every day, at every store we follow. We read the prices from the stores’ own product feeds and web stores, and Amazon’s through price services such as Keepa. We check them for errors and keep them, so every product page shows what a price did over the last 90 days. We only call a discount real when the price also sits below the level of the preceding 30 days. Per store: how and how often
Pascal is the pressure the robot can build, as the maker measures it. More pascal helps on carpet, but it says little about how well the robot lifts grit off a hard floor: the brush, the airflow and the route matter more there. That is why we lean on test sources rather than on the number alone.
It drives through the house by itself and sweeps dirt with spinning brushes towards a suction inlet, which pulls it into a bin inside the robot. With a laser (LiDAR) or a camera it maps your home, so it works in lanes and knows where it has been. Sensors keep it off the stairs and steer it around obstacles. When the run is done or the battery runs low, it drives back to its station to charge. A station can also empty the bin and, as an all-in-one station, wash the mop.
Years, if you look after it. Brushes, filters and mop pads wear and are replaced now and then, and the battery holds less charge over time and can be replaced on many models. How long exactly differs by model and by use. So when buying, look at the warranty too, and at whether parts and a new battery are sold separately. When the maker states a warranty, it is listed with the model’s specifications.
